Check-in and House Information
HOUSE RULES
The apartments are NON SMOKING.
Please respect check in and check out times.
Please do not eat OR drink on upholstered/fabric furniture and in bedrooms.
Please re-use bath and swimming towels as we like to conserve our water and environment by not washing unnecessarily. Should you want towels changed more often, please let us know, or leave them on the floor on your cleaning days.
Please adhere to quiet hours to consider our other guests, from 10pm - 8am.
No pets are allowed.
No parties or events are to be held unless agreed to by the house owner.
Household supplies: This is a self-catering villa and all groceries are for your account.Toilet paper and dish liquid are supplied by us. Please let us know if you run out.
Breakages: Accidents do happen occasionally. If there are breakages or damages, please advise the managing agent or owner. You will be charged for replacement costs of any breakages or damages, or lost keys or remotes.
No guests are allowed unless pre-arranged with the owner. Please inform the owner should you wish to bring guests on the property, for security reasons.
Please put off Aircons and fans when leaving the apartment.
No weapons, drugs or illegal practices to be held on our premises.
By receipt of this information, the reader acknowledges and accepts the terms as set out above. The owner has the right to cancel a booking or dismiss a tenant who does not adhere to the house rules. Cancellation policy is as per the policy agreed to on the booking portal.
STAFF AND SERVICES
Our housekeeper is available to clean daily on week days (complimentary) and once a week if you stay 7 days or longer.
Please advise us IN ADVANCE which day/s you would like your area cleaned so we can arrange a suitable time.
Linen and towels will be changed once a week, unless you request otherwise. Extra charge for unreasonable towel and linen replacement.
The cleaners working hours are Monday - Friday, 8am – 4pm Additional days can be arranged @R350 per clean (week days), R550 weekends and R700 for public holidays (Incl. transport).
The cleaner’s tasks include general cleaning of the apartment, making of beds, washing dishes, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and changing linen.
Personal laundry can be done at an additional fee of @R150 per load (washing and folding), R50 extra for tumble dryer and R10 per item to iron.
Please note: We accept no responsibility for your personal laundry done by the cleaners
SAFETY OF PERSONAL ITEMS
Please don’t leave valuables lying around the apartments like cash, cell phones and jewellery. As honest as staff and other tenants are, it is still very tempting if it’s lying around.
We have provided a combination safe in each apartment for your valuable items. (See instructions on safe).
Constantia View and its management are not liable for any personal items damaged or stolen on our property.
SECURITY AND ALARM
Each apartment has a separate alarm which can be activated from the keypad. Please ask management for instructions and your code if you wish to activate your alarm. Activate the alarm when departing the house, or at night if you feel you need to.

Please ask management for your unique apartment alarm code should you wish to activate your alarm.
GATE
The gate remote is for opening and closing the gate. The gate does not close automatically, so please close it when leaving the property. In the event of a power failure, there is a battery backup on the gate motor which will last for a few hours.
Please notify the manager should the gate get stuck and they will open the gate manually. There is a pedestrian gate which can be used if this happens. The manager will give you instructions to open the gate.
ELECTRICITY
We have solar panels, inverters and battery back up. Our electrical supply is supplemented by Eskom, using a prepaid meter, which we load with sufficient units. Should this run out please let us know and we will purchase more units.. In the case of a tripped circuit, the electrical box (distribution board) for each apartment is in the kitchen areas.
WATER
Our tap water is either from the council or from filtered borehole and is safe to drink, however it is up to you if you prefer to buy bottled water to drink.
GAS
Our geysers and stoves are powered by gas and can be used during load shedding. If in the event of the stove not working or water gets cold, please advise us and we will swop gas canisters for the spare ones.
If a manager or staff member is not on site, please call the manager or owner for easy instructions, to change over the gas canister in the yard area.
LOAD SHEDDING
Please download the “Eskom Se Push” App to see when we have load shedding. Our area is Constantia 11. We have sufficient resources to run most things like lights, internet and plugs, however heaters, A/C, hair dryers, microwaves, electric kettles and air fryers can’t be used during load shedding.
Heaters, fans, televisions A/C and lights should be switched off if the room is not occupied.
INTERNET CONNECTION
We have uncapped, unshaped internet supply.
Wi-fi passcode is on the cover letter or on the fridge in the apartments.
In the case of load shedding, we have solar power and battery back up, which will keep the wi-fi on for a few hours.
REMOTES, APPLIANCES, FIREPLACES AND TV’S
You will receive one set of keys and a gate remote. Please take extra care as lost keys and remotes incur a replacement fee, including a fee to reprogramme the remote.
The manager will show you how the fireplace works (instructions available on video).
Please inquire if you need any further assistance with TV’s and appliances.
You are welcome to log into your own personal network streaming chanels.
REFUSE SERVICE
Refuse is collected by the municipality on Thursdays at approx 9am. Kindly leave your black bags outside your room on Thursday mornings for us to collect, or place them in the black bins near the pool or yard areas, the night before.
Cleaning staff will clear your bags during the week, but on weekends please put your full dustbin bags in the outside bins provided.
SWIMMING POOLS
Kindly obey the rules in the pool areas for your own safety.
Swimming towels can be found in the apartments.
The gate is kept locked when small kids are around.
The code for the lock is 021
FIRST AID AND FIRE
Each apartment has a basic first aid kit and fire extinguisher in the case of a fire.
Kindly familiarise yourself with the fire extinguishers in the barbecue and yard areas.
WILD LIFE
We frequently have baboons visiting our neighbourhood. Please close windows and doors when you are out, as they may access the apartment to scavenge your food and fruit. They are not dangerous unless threatened, so don’t interact with them and don’t feed or provoke them.
